The 1001 Inventions: Discover the Muslim Heritage in Our World book took centre stage at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair.

Hundreds attended a book signing ceremony with Chief Editor Professor Salim Al-Hassani and Editors Elizabeth Woodcock and Dr.Rabah Saoud present.

The book was showcased beside a giant 6 meter cubic structure that displayed hundreds of historical contributions.

In Riyadh thousands flocked to the exhibition area of the Kingdom Tower to visit the first Saudi exhibition for inventions, Ibtikar 2008.

1001 Inventions presented an overview of its project at "The First Regional Conference on the Knowledge Economy" in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from January 12-13, 2008.

Professor Salim Al-Hassani delivered a key note speech on behalf of 1001 Inventions and the Foundation for Science Technology and Civilisation (FSTC).

Over 300 experts and professionals as well as several VIPs attended the conference.

U.K. Prime Minister endorses Muslim Heritage

Tony Blair gratefully accepts a copy of the acclaimed work 1001 Inventions from HRH Prince Mohamed Bin Nawaf Al-Saud, Saudi Ambassador to the U.K. Prime Minister Tony Blair has embraced the Muslim community with his endorsement of the pioneering book 1001 Inventions: Discover the Muslim Heritage in Our World.

In recognition of the enormous contributions of Muslims to science and technology, the Prime Minister posed holding one of the last remaining copies from the first edition.
